Thursday’s messy mix has melted away and December begins with some sunshine.

Environment Canada’s forecast for Friday is for overcast skies to give way to a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 1 C and and overnight low of -2 C.

But then things are expected to get a bit wet.

Saturday should be mainly cloudy with a high of 3 C, a 40 per cent chance of overnight flurries and a low of -1 C.

For Sunday, expect more clouds, a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain, a high of 4 C and a low of 0 C.

Monday’s forecast is a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 5 C with a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries and a low of 4 C overnight.

Tuesday’s expected high is a balmy 10 C but there’s a 70 per cent chance of daytime showers. Overnight, there’s a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries and a low of 0 C.

For Wednesday, there’s a 40 per cent chance of flurries for both day and night, a high of 1 C and a low of -7 C.

A mix of sun and cloud, a 30 per cent chance of flurries and a high of -3 C is forecast for Thursday.
