I won't expect a big increase in my whole family's income in 4-5 years if we move to ottawa, however house and child care are expensive in ottawa, that is why i am still considering about moving or not.

Is it easy for people who is not working in government to get a government job in ottawa?
how about other jobs like finance, bank, data analysis?

如果你在政府上班是不是该考虑orlean的房子,那边相对便宜吧.daycare如果两口子都fulltime,可以根据收入申请政府补助

Ottawa is one of the safest cities in the world, having said that, there are a few spots you might want to avoid. Housing price is way reasonable comparing with Toronto, and most probably higher than that of Regina.

I only know car insurance for ottawa residents is cheaper than Toronto residents, in addition, you can also choose to live in Quebec to pay even less. I really don't think that should be decision factor.

Traffic, better than Toronto again.

搬家这时得你老婆说了算，你自己现在进退都有选择，你老婆如果是比较独立的话过来找不到工作会很烦。
