Police have charged a 24-year-old Ottawa man with aggravated sexual assault, following an investigation that began in October.
Police have not released any specifics about the incident in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Charged with aggravated sexual assault is William Vatcher. He is to appear in an Ottawa court on Jan. 11.
Police are concerned there could be other victims.
