Ottawa fire crews were able to contain a large fire in a Richmond garage Friday morning before it could spread to a nearby residence.
Firefighters were called to 78 Colonel Murray St. shortly after 9 a.m. and found the detached garage burning.
Crews concentrated on containing the blaze from spreading to a residence approximately three metres from the garage.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
