Bet you’re getting pretty tired of reading and hearing about how darned cold it is.

Well, good news!

You can add snow to the mix as we enter whatever day it is of the Deep Chill of 2017-18.

The flurries started Saturday morning and, while it’s certainly not blizzard conditions, there’ll be two to four centimetres through the day.

Just enough to add a coat of slick onto the already ice-patchy roads out there so be careful.

Ottawa International Airport, while not experiencing any major delays, issued a heads up Saturday morning.

It’s always a good idea to check a flight's status before traveling to the airport, especially on snowy days. / C’est toujours une bonne idée de vérifier l’état d’un vol avant de se déplacer vers l’aéroport, surtout quand il neige. #YOW #OttCity #OttVille https://t.co/WI4CkPfQVQ

Saturday’s high is expected to soar to -18 C, with a windchill “feels like” of -33.

Sunday is expected to begin with a mix of sun and cloud, with the winds picking up. The high is forecast at -19 C, with a windchill effect of -35.

New Years Eve looks like it will be clear and frigid with a low of -27 C.

If you’re out and about be careful. Make sure everything’s covered. Twice, if possible.

If you believe in omens we’re not sure what message New Year’s Day is sending for the rest of 2018: The high is expected to rise to -23 C under sunny skies, while it looks like the low will tumble to -30 C.

But, if we all make it to Tuesday, things are looking up!

Sunny with a high of -12 C! Of course, that forecast would have made us weep three weeks ago.
