An 18-year-old male was in hospital in serious, but stable condition after a shooting at Banff and Ledbury avenues on Saturday night.
Ottawa Police Service said patrol officers found the victim after arriving on the scene at about 9:45 p.m. Ottawa paramedics said the man had received multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body.
No suspects had been located as of Saturday evening, a police media release added.
The release also said the investigation of the shooting was ongoing by the Guns and Gangs unit.
Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050. Anonymous tips could be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
