A 71-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Kingston on Wednesday.
The man’s eastbound vehicle left the road on the south side, east of the Joyceville Road exit, at about 4:30, an OPP news release stated.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The 401 remained closed at the Joyceville Road exit Wednesday night at 8:30.
The crash is under investigation. The OPP asked anyone with information regarding this incident to contact police at 1-888-310-1122. Anyone who wants to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS), the OPP said.
An OPP tweet said eastbound Highway 401 traffic will be detoured at Joyceville Road to Highway 2.
