Pair of crashes close stretches of 401 near Kingston

If you’re starting the long weekend early and heading west, you might want to skip Highway 401 around Kingston.

A pair of morning crashes closed both the eastbound lanes at Montreal Street and Highway 15 and the westbound lanes at Joyceville Road, the first starting in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Early reports indicate at least one person was seriously injured in one of the crashes.

At least one person was seriously injured in a crash this morning on Hwy 401 near Kingston. The highway is blocked in two spots following crashes overnight.
