Firefighters are investigating a two-alarm fire that broke out in an Orléans home Sunday night.
The house, at 2243 Pagé Rd., near Innes Road and Orléans Boulevard, was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Firefighters responded to calls of heavy smoke just after 10 p.m. Sunday, and brought more equipment in 15 minutes later as flames from the basement spread to the first floor, which eventually collapsed.
The fire was under control by 1 a.m. One firefighter was treated for a minor hand injury and released. No one else was injured.
