Ottawa police are looking for a male suspect who allegedly stole from a Kanata senior at an ATM in October.
Police said a man in his 80s had his bank card allegedly stolen at an ATM after the suspect looked over his shoulder while the victim typed in his PIN.
After distracting the man and taking his card, police said the suspect convinced the man his card was seized by the ATM, then withdrew a large sum from the victim’s account at an adjacent machine.
The suspect was captured on the ATM camera, police said.
Anyone with information about the male suspect is asked to contact Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300.
