An Ottawa man is facing child pornography charges after a lost cellphone containing graphic images of children was turned over to police.
Police said in mid-January its internet child exploitation unit was notified by a local business of a found cellphone containing images of child pornography.
Christopher Jones, 40, of Ottawa is charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He was to appear at show cause court on Monday afternoon.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service ICE Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5660. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS), toll-free at 1-800-222-8477, or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
