Quebec and Gatineau police teamed up Tuesday to for a series of raids that netted 1.75 kg of cocaine, 73,000 methamphetamine tablets and more than $119,500 in cash.
Two unidentified men, aged 23 and 26, will appear in court in Gatineau May 9 to face trafficking charges linked to the raids of two Gatineau homes and two vehicles that capped off a weeks-long investigation.
The Sûreté du Québec reported that the operation was aimed at taking down traffickers who were selling Montréal-sourced drugs in the Outaouais.
The SQ said that the partnerships between the forces aim to pool resources to fight organized crime across the province.
Tips on the production and trafficking of narcotics can be “confidentially” shared with the provincial force’s central crime information bureau at 1-800-659-4264.
