Nine people were arrested and drugs, cash and weapons were seized in a series of early morning raids in Alexandria and North Glengarry Township on Friday.
Seven men and two women are facing charges after the raids at several homes and one business in the area.
Police did not release the names of those arrested or the charges they face, but promised more information, including the specific drugs and weapons seized, would be forthcoming.
The raids were conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police and included its tactical rescue unit, K9 unit and organized crime enforcement unit, among others, along with officers from its Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Township detachment.
