Police are asking for the public’s help in locating witnesses who saw a collision claimed the life of a pedestrian on Durocher Street on Friday, Mar. 23.
Investigators said the collision occurred at about 12:20 p.m. when a four-door Nissan sedan vehicle travelling on Durocher Street struck the pedestrian near Deschamps Avenue.
The victim, a 60-year-old man, was trapped under the vehicle and was extricated by firefighters.
He was resuscitated and taken to hospital by paramedics but succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
Investigators are seeking to speak to witnesses who have not yet come forward, either those who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle prior to the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa police collision investigation unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481.
