A Friday night fire destroyed a commercial warehouse on Montréal street in the eastern part of Gatineau. No one was injured.
Gatineau firefighters responded to reports of a fire just after midnight in a warehouse at Les Enterprises M. Menard, which sells trucks, trailers and used and recycled parts, including engines, transmissions, tires and electronic systems. The warehouse at 221A chemin de Montréal in Masson-Angers contained equipment and heavy vehicles, with propane and gasoline contributing to the blaze, said Gatineau fire services.
The service deployed 37 firefighters in 14 trucks to fight the fire.
