Ontario Provincial Police have charged a man after a commercial break and enter in April at Cassidy’s Transfer and Storage in Pembroke.

On April 12, police said they obtained a search warrant for a residence on Pembroke Street West, where they seized drugs and stolen property from an alleged break and enter at Cassidy’s.

Police said they arrested a man who was found at a residence on Lea Street on Tuesday, and then obtained a search warrant the following day for that same residence, where they seized cocaine.

Kevin Douglas Rice, 47, of Ottawa, was charged with multiple offences, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a weapon, breach of recognizance, and possession of cocaine, cannabis and clonazepam.

Rice was scheduled for a bail hearing Wednesday and was to remain in custody until his next court proceeding in Pembroke on April 27.
