does the prof has the right to force me dropping the course

Because my visa was delayed,so I arrived at Canada on Oct,4.I have registered only one course and paid the fees before my arriving.But when I meet the prof ,he said I must drop this course or he must will fail me this semester.I wana know wheather he has the right to do so as it is my business to decide drop or not.I really very ignored.Since there are still 4 years's study,so I don't wanna to make a bigger deal.I know I can let him go out of OU only by his words that he will fail me no matter how I peform in the exam. If he can't treat the student fair,do you think he is a good prof?Just waiting .

what kind of course is it? In some courses, Prof have the right force you to drop the course for reasons such as no attendance, no handed in assignments or you missed the midterm already. SO basically u don;'t have any mark at all from beginning to this stage now, and it's not guranteed that u will pass the course, since final exam in some courses worth very little, so although u stay in the course, u might not pass the exam anyways. So maybe he asks you to drop the course is for your own good, u know, drop the course adn retake it is much better than an F on your study record.

Although i really sympathize with your encounter, some words have been previous indicated on the course outline.

"Students are expected to write all Exams,quizzes, and to submit cases as scheduled. Failure to complete any of them at the specified time without a Medical excuse will result in an "F"."

I think Mr Koppel did not force but advise you to drop the course since you will definitely get an "F". It will lower your CGPA.

He may misuse some words but his point is not wrong at current situation.

同意ing，原来学这科的时候听说这个教授挺好的阿，应该不会没理由就把你fail了啊，的确有这样的科，考试，作业，只要你错过了一个，就一定会fail,不管别的做得怎么样。

啊，Kopple ya, then better drop the course la. 青楼二少 is right, if this is stated in the course outline, u don;t have any choice but drop it. It's really for your own good. ADM 1300 is not a easy course, so u have missed so much already, and it's really hard to catch up now in a such short time. I think Kopple is meant for your own good, he doens't wanna u to have a low mark on your report card. Beside, eventhough u think it's not fair, he is the director of School of Management, so.....u don't really have any place to complain. I feel really sorry for you, but drop the course seemed to be the best option here. Koppel is someone who do what he says, so if u don;t drop it, he definitely gonna fail you.

I think you missed 3 DGDs?
If yes, you would fail, bad luck.

if anything he couldn't be able to finish in the class, he always says "remember, it's your responsibility". then what the f**k is his responsibility as our prof? as the f**ken a'hole standing in front of more than 200 people in the lecture and talling about how excellent he was in his f**king past!!!

if u have missed more than 2(including 2) DGDs, u have to drop the course no matter what. i'm sorry to say so...
