A woman in her 20s was in serious but stable condition after being burned in an “outside gas fireplace” accident, the Ottawa Paramedic Service tweeted Wednesday night.
The incident took place at about 9 p.m. in Stittsville, and off-duty Ottawa Fire Services members and paramedics stabilized the patient with specialized burn dressings and analgesics before taking her to the burn centre.
