Two people have died following an early morning collision that closed Taylor-Kidd Boulevard in Amherstview, west of Kingston, on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to a collision between a van and a car on County Road 23 between County Road 6 and Coronation Boulevard (or County Road 24) at about 5:30 a.m.
Provincial police originally said three people were taken to hospital. Police later confirmed that two people involved in the crash have been pronounced dead. Next of kin are still being notified of the incident.
The technical traffic collision investigation unit continues to probe the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
