Traffic remains slow on the Queensway, eastbound at Nicholas Street, after a multi-vehicle collision briefly closed the two left lanes on the highway.
As of 4:20 p.m., the left two lanes had been reopened, but traffic remained backed up as far west as Pinecrest in Nepean, causing delays of up to an hour and a half for those heading east
The collision happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, but the OPP were unable to comment as to the number of vehicles involved.
Emergency services did respond to the call, but a spokesperson for Ottawa paramedics said that all seven people assessed at the scene declined to be taken to hospital.
Drivers heading eastbound on the Queensway are advised to seek an alternate route.
