A cooler and sunnier weekend is in store but we’ll have to wade through some wet and muggy weather first.

For Thursday, expect increasing cloudiness, southerly winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning then a 60 per cent chance of afternoon and evening showers with the risk of a thunderstorm. The high of 28 C will feel like 35 and the UV index is 7 or high.

Overnight, the forecast is for winds to drop off the mercury to dip to 19 C.

Friday’s forecast is for a 70 per cent chance of showers with the risk of an afternoon thunderstorm and a high of 24 C with a Humidex pegged at 32. There’s a 30 per cent chance of overnight showers and a low of 14 C.

Saturday’s forecast is short and sweet: sunny with a high of 24 C and low of 11 C.

For Sunday, expect mixed skies, a high of 22 C and an overnight low of 13 C with a 30 per cent chance of showers.

That 30 per cent chance of showers lingers for Monday with a high of 19 C and low of 11 C.

Even cooler temperatures are on tap for Tuesday with a high of 17 C and low of 10 C under mixed skies.

Wednesday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 19 C.
