Wet and windy start to the week should give way to warm sunny weather by the weekend

It’s a wet and windy start to the week but we should be back to sunshine and temperatures in the 20s just in time for next weekend.

More than 20 mm of rain fell Sunday night and more showers are forecast for Monday along with southwest wind at 20 km/h gusting to 40 by late morning, with a high of just 17 C. There’s a 40 per cent chance of more rain overnight and a low of 10 C.

Tuesday is mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day and 30 per cent overnight, a high of 15 C and a low of 12 C.

Skies dry up Wednesday with mixed skies, a high of 19 C and a low of 11 C.

The risk of rain returns for Thursday with a 30 per cent chance of showers, a high of 22 C and a low of 14 C.

Friday is sunny and 23 C with a low of 11 C.

For Saturday, expect mixed skies, a high of 24 C and a low of 10 C.

Sunday’s outlook is sunny and 24 C.

Typical temperatures for early June are highs of 23 C and lows of 12 C.
