Police have seized multiple firearms from a property in North Stormont Township and laid weapons charges against a 26-year-old man.
Members of the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry crime unit, emergency response team and OPP officers searched a residence on Roxborough Gardens Road on June 8, resulting in the seizure of long guns and side arms, provincial police said Monday.
Police alleged Julian Villeneuve of North Stormont discharged a firearm inside the residence. Police said there were no injuries.
Villeneuve, who was charged with two counts of careless use of a firearm and three counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
