A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening face and head injuries in a crash on Highway 7 west of Stittsville Monday morning.
The bike crashed left the eastbound highway west of Hazeldean Road and struck a post leaving its operator with critical injuries, paramedics said at 6:30 a.m.
Advanced life support paramedics were ventilating the patient as care was handed over to staff at the region’s trauma unit.
The OPP reported that as of 7 a.m., the eastbound off ramp to Hazeldean Road remained closed but the other lanes had reopened.
