Police laid a handful of impaired driving charges in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville over the past week.
On June 14, OPP officers were called to a business on Fairfax Road in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township at about 9 a.m. Fifty-three-year-old Glenda Froggatt of Brockville was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
Police arrested a 59-year-old man in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township on June 16 after witnessing a traffic incident on Highway 15. Patrick Mangan, 59, of the same township, was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
The following day, police returned to Highway 15 at about 4 p.m. in response to a single-vehicle rollover in Rideau Lakes Township. Twenty-five-year-old Dalton Harris of Ottawa was charged with driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
Finally, the OPP responded to traffic complaints about a driver on Highway 401 in Front of Yonge Township the evening of June 18. Denis Lefebvre, 53, of Scarborough, Ont., was charged with impaired driving.
In each case, the driver’s vehicle was towed and impounded. All four individuals were scheduled to appear in Brockville court in July.
