A worker in his 40s suffered minor injuries to his head and shoulder after being hit with a piece of wood in the under-construction downtown light rail tunnel Tuesday morning.
Paramedics and firefighters responded to the site at Queen Street near Metcalfe Street at 8:28 a.m.
Firefighters said that the man was able to walk out on his own with their help.
Paramedics took him to the hospital in stable condition on a low-priority status.
