Police say they have ruled out suspicious factors in the death Thursday of a 20-year-old pedestrian who was fatally struck by a Via Rail train in Trenton.
OPP, firefighters and paramedics responded to Wooler Road just before 2 p.m.
The man from Quinte West, the municipality that includes Trenton, was pronounced dead at the scene south of the Trenton Junction station.
Wooler Road and 2nd Dug Hill Road were closed, as was Via Rail service between Toronto and Ottawa, for about 90 minutes while police investigated.
