卡北居民得关心这事,KNL 7/8/9. RR4 REZONING 修正案听证会, 要增加高密度住宅群

将来还会建高层公寓。
沿着高速公路,靠近Centrum的地方,已经建了不少高层公寓。里面的住户大部分是老年人。
 
以前的KNL 7/8/9. RR4 ZONING 和RR, KE1/2/3, HH类似,以SINGLE HOME 和 TOWNHOUSE搭配。 现在这修正案要引入高密度4层建筑群。如果让提议者得逞, 人口将继续大量增加,交通,等等,也会加快新高中建设的步伐。对现有的卡北居民利益是不利的。

When: Thursday, August 16th, 7pm
Where: Beaverbrook Library (Mlacak Centre), 2500 Campeau Drive

A rezoning request has been received asking to change the zoning on all of their remaining development, phases 7, 8 and 9 to R4 rather than the present R3. Although both zones can be used for town houses and singles, the R4 would also permit low rise buildings (up to 4 storeys). I’m working with the City Planner to keep the R3 zoning for Phase 9 (which will be built first) and deferring the zoning for phases 7 & 8 until more details are known. Check my website for the date of a possible public meeting on this rezoning. KNL is now planning to commence rock blasting and removal in phase 9 in mid-August.
