man i seriously doubt ur taste. or i can say u know nothing about the laptop things. lets talk this way if u buy a laptop for daily use there are no big diff actually. but if u wanna talk about the GOOD notebooks i can tell you almost all the japanese products are crap. especially toshiba. and sadly american brands own jp stuffs whatever u talk about quality warranty everything. go read some pro laptop magzines if u dont believe.

I agree with the IBM part. But I think DELL will a good choice.

I bought an IBM laptop.When just a few days over the warrenty period, my net-card was dead. Cost me $120 to got it fixed. A few months later, the CD-ROM stopped working. Again, I sepnt more than $120 to order a new one. But now, the "new" one dead as well. I have no idea about IBM now. That's crap I would say.
