    We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant reporting to the CEO and will thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented work environment. This is a perfect role for a team player that wants to be a part of a growing organization.

    As a Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting/finance operations of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, general bookkeeping, monthly reconciliations, HST and other filings, payroll administration, financial reporting/analysis, A/R, A/P, and cash management. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and working with an external accountant.


    • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, monthly reconciliations, HST and other fillings, financial reporting & analysis, margin analysis;
    • Monitor payment processing daily deposits in business clients’ accounts;
    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
    • Develop and implement accounting strategies, policies and controls
    • Work alongside upper management and other key stakeholders to coordinate invoicing, payroll, financial statements, cash flow and etc.
    • Work with external accountant to prepare and report monthly/quarterly financial statements
    • Ensure quality assurance over financial transactions and financial reporting
    • Collaborate with external payroll agency and ensure payroll deductions and activities are compliant
    • Manage and comply with provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Ensure accounts payable are paid in accordance with relevant terms
    • Ensure accounts receivable are collected on time and identify any potential issues or concerns
    • Additional Bookkeeper duties as necessary

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or 3+ years of equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of previous working experience as a Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant
    • 2+ years of experience with financial reporting
    • 2+ years of experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    • 2+ years of experience accounting software user and administration skills including Microsoft Excel and Sage Drive
    • Expert knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and procedures
    • Strong leadership and interest in driving the business forward from a finance perspective
