Special weather statement in effect for:
Snow and ice pellets amounts of 2 to 5 cm are possible before changing to rain or freezing rain in the afternoon. However, with temperatures expected to remain near the zero degree mark there is uncertainty as to how much precipitation will fall as rain or freezing rain across the area.
Areas of Eastern Ontario including Ottawa may receive some freezing rain Wednesday afternoon followed by rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm. The higher terrain areas near Algonquin Park are likely to receive significant freezing rain in the afternoon and evening.
