The Sens Rink of Dreams will be closed to public skating from 11 am to noon on Saturday, February 8 for a special shinny game between the Ottawa Senators Alumni and NHL Alumni. In addition, the rink will close for two 45-minute children’s skating clinics, called Perfect Skate, on Saturday at 9 am and Sunday at 10 am.
The game and clinics are part of the Rogers Hometown Hockey festivities taking place at City Hall’s Marion Dewar Plaza from February 7 to 9.
The weekend event will feature live bands, games, autograph sessions with NHL alumni and a viewing of the Stanley Cup. The event will conclude on Sunday evening with the Rogers Hometown Hockey telecast of the Winnipeg Jets and Chicago Blackhawks game, with live pre-game and intermission broadcasts from Marion Dewar Plaza.
Visit the Canadian Heritage page of canada.ca for schedule details.
Motorists should note that road closures will be in place around City Hall. If you plan to use the City Hall parking lot, only the Elgin Street entrance will be open during the Laurier Avenue West road closures.
