2名中国留学生就读于美国俄亥俄州迈阿密大学，均为23岁男性。事发当日正与另外2人（女）搭乘一艘游船。6月5日下午4点15分，2位男性中国留学生在游泳过程中失去踪迹，另外2名女性被路过的船只救起。

据美媒报道，当地时间6月5日失踪的2名中国留学生，2人遗体已于6月8日凌晨2点15分被找到。

据当地新闻报道，这2名中国留学生就读于美国俄亥俄州迈阿密大学，均为23岁男性。事发当日正与另外2人（女）搭乘一艘游船。由于游船被水流冲走，4人试图游泳追回游船。

不幸的是，在6月5日下午4点15分，2位男性中国留学生在游泳过程中失去踪迹，另外2名女性被路过的船只救起。

报道指出，事发水域约15米深，事发当时水中能见度较差，非常危险。当地急救部门随后展开了搜救工作，并动用了声呐、遥控机器人等设备帮助搜寻。6月8日凌晨2点15分，2人遗体被工作人员发现。

目前，当地有关部门正与两位遇难学生家属进行沟通遗体运回中国等相关事宜。

JAMESTOWN, Ky. (June 8, 2020) – The bodies of two swimmers who went missing in Lake Cumberland, Friday, June 5th, 2020, have been recovered and positively identified. The two have been identified as 23 year old Yangi Xing and 23 year old Guan Lian. Both were from China and students at Miami University, Ohio.

According to Russell County Emergency Management, the two were among four people who were swimming in the lake when their houseboat began drifting away. Two were picked up by another boat, while two others, Yangi Xing and Guan Lian, tried to swim and catch up to the houseboat.

They went under the water between Jamestown Marina and Wolfe Creek Dam and did not come back up.

According to Russell County Emergency Manager H.M. Bottom, the two bodies were recovered around 2:30 in the morning Monday, June 8th, 2020.
