有国内驾驶执照的朋友需要带驾照原件和在安省做的翻译件（大使馆？）在考G1之前出示，方可在考完G1后直接报考G2，不需要等8个月。

我曾经给多伦多的考试中心打电话,他们告诉我,我不用先把国内两年的驾照公证,说直接到考试中心来,根据当时不同的工作人员,很大可能不需要我出示公证件的.我问万一要呢?回答是,那也没关系,下次什么时候或考G2时带去就行了.

Toronto is different from Ottawa. In Ottawa, you need to show them that.

请问上述这种情况 从开始直到拿到驾照时大概会需要多久~?

It depends on what kind of driver license you are applying to take.I heard that you will get your G1 in 6 weeks,up to 3 months. And you will be given a temporary driver license which is valid in 3 months. Since you get it at the same time you pass the test of G1,you have to wait at least 6 weeks to get your permanent driver license.
But I am not sure about G2. :blowzy:

Jin Hua Shu Dian in China Town Ottawa,close to Kowloon Market. If you are in Toronto,you may buy it in China Town there too.But please notice that not all the G1 exam questions are in the book. You can find all the traffic signs but not all those regulations.Ask those who have G1 driver licenses,and go over the regulations printed on the back of G1 temporary driver license.For example, the alcohol % in G1 driver and G2 driver and so on. Good luck!
