If you can prove that your resign because you're not treated fairly by the employer, or discrimination, or etc. etc. If it turns out to be the employer's fault, you're likely to get EI. HRDC will judge whether you're eligible.

Only this comment is the closest answer. There are many reasons that you can find yourself applicable for EI even if the case is that you are quitting the job other than being let go.
