你这种情况只能是 "guilty + explanation"（后边有车紧随，且路面湿滑). 只能想办法说服法官你停下有危险. 如果法官相信了你, no guilty. 如果法官不相信, 也会减轻罚款. [/B]

6-8 months. You have to send the ticket to Ottawa City Hall (not Court) personally within 15 days(?), not by mail. Please see the back of ticket for detail.

如果没有证人，也就是你的话对警察的话。这样的情况除非警察不出庭，否则你必输无疑。
但是如果有时间，还是应该去打打官司，反正也不会失去什么。出一次庭以后就有经验了。

是的, 多数法官都喜欢认罪态度好的. 即使警察出庭了,如果当初你没惹翻他,或者他没记恨你, 在法庭上他不驳你的解释. no guilty 还是有可能的.

The officer in the small room could give you some advices or help to let you know your case clearly. He could also suggest you what action you may choose. Then you have to tell the officer of the City Hall what is your choice. Three choises:

1. Pay the fine
2. Quilty with expanation
3. No quilty

For the last two choises, you would be asked to fill a form. Then you have to wait for the notice from the Court. In the Court, you can explain what heppened and wait for the Judge's decision.
