where is our spirit now? We can only find the glory in the past.

Glory was the only thing average people could learn in that isolated age, maybe I should use "be educated" in stead of "learn".
It's long gone. Just imagine the glory one of our northern neighbors is enjoying now. Ours was similar.

Nowadays, people know there is something else more important than educated glory.

I don't see any hope in the next 20 years. China is full of corrupcy.
The dangours part is: People don't hate corrupcy as in the 80's anymore.
They are jealous, and trying to be part of it so as to benifit from the corruption.

Very good point! But don't only think about the great progress we made in the last 2 decades.

Did you also know that for the 30 years before our current progress started, what did we do? STARVATION

What we did during the last 20 years was just making up the huge loss we had before 1979. Kudos to the leaders who made the decision in 1979 that finally give people the right to live a better life.

These are the idealized Chinese. People hope others to be like that.
But for themself, it is another story. That's the reason those idols are set for.
They cannot stop the moral deacy in China!

PM Zhou is not fake, of course. He's a charming person, you can think so. Those soldiers are actors. When you are chosen to show up before a camera, representing millions of fellow soldiers, you'd better be a good actor.
