Volunteer with Us! OCCSC Virtual Youth Homework Club
Organization: Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC)
Commitment: Long term (6 months to a year)
Complete volunteer training on Friday, September 24th (TBD), Choose either 4:00pm-5:30pm or 7:00pm-8:30pm
Language Preference: English, French, Chinese will be an asset
Volunteer Location: Virtual, Zoom

Description
Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC) has been serving newcomers in the community for 45 years. We sincerely invite you to contribute your passion and skills in teaching and tutoring to assist our Virtual Youth Homework Club. The project is looking for engaging and enthusiastic volunteers willing to help students one on one or in small groups via Zoom. Sessions are once a week for 90 minutes.
Youth age: Grade 7- Grade 12
Your Availability: You can choose one and more than one subject and your available time
Different subjects and times to choose from:
Who should apply: This volunteer position would be perfect for a retired teacher, or someone with expertise or knowledge in a variety of subjects. It would also be great for university students who are passionate about teaching.
