It should be the sound of metal connection expansion somewhere. Some homes experience the same sound from the duct connection expansion in the winter during heating season. If this sound appeared after changing the roof, then it might be the metal joints during the roof installation.

connection noise,but, both my bedroom in second floor and the kitchen in the first floor has the sound like water drip,and it sounds like it's coming from the outside eaves, not from the interior.
You speak of “the metal joints” during the roof installation, where might it be? where to start? It bothers me so much!

It is warm today, did you heard the sound today? You may look around the eaves to see if there any newly metal joints like the nails which are directly hit on the eaves, or some kind metal fix on the eaves to limit the eave expansion.
