Louie (who kind of looks like my guinea pig Lionhart)
Sweetnums & her story
"Sweetums was purchased at a corporate pet store although I know better than to do that. She was the smallest of the herd and she was almost hairless on either side of her body. Every time she tried to get a drink or a pellet, another pig got in her way and kept her from drinking and eating. I asked the sales clerk if I could pick her up and when I did, I discovered she was nothing but skin and bones. There was no way I was letting her go back in that cage. I paid my $30 and brought her home. I really didn't think she was going to make it even through the night, but she did and she is so healthy and happy and my perfect little angel. She is very tiny and will not get any bigger, but it is just part of her girlish charm. She eats 'Nilla Wafers crumbs while sitting on my chest and then crawls up to my chin, pulling herself on her hind legs and begins licking my lips for more cookies! She is so affectionate and so cuddly! She even likes to curl up in bed next to me and go to sleep (she's in her little sleeping bag, of course.) I have never had a pig who makes continual happy noises like Sweetums. I really think she is grateful. She has nothing for which to be grateful, though, as I am the one who is grateful for her. God put her here for me."
