I want to make one thing clear to some of the respondents who are nitpicking the Delta comparison and the U.S. salary difference. The Air Canada pilot group took on average 50% cuts during the 2003-2004 bankruptcy proceedings with arbitration. We never got those back even during our 2012 contract negotiations because the Conservative government at the time pre-empted legislation that would have forced us back to work.

几年前好像是安省的水厂还是电厂总裁也干过同样的事。坚决不退让。工厂大门被堵，就用直升机运人进去继续运转，坚持了几个月。快到冬天了，谁也承担不起责任。最后双方才同意裁决。结果基本算总裁输了。
重振安省电厂的雄心一下子被浇灭。最后也破罐子破摔，把自己的工资提高到年薪600多万。又拿了更大一笔退休金。愉快地下台了
法律保护懒汉。谁也没折。
竞争力就是这样丢失的。这种“人权”迟早得把国家带到衰亡
