加拿大能买到多区域DVD机吗？

Thanks again! I went to BestBuy to ask the salesman,he told me APEX can play disks from any country because APEX does not have the chip to check the region code.He also said he has tried this feature by himself and it worked.Then I bought it(APEX AD2600).

I tried to play a DVD disk from China and it worked fine.But I just tried one disk.

The price is really not bad.Only $80 plus tax. It can play many formats of disks but maybe not VCD(not listed in the manual).If you dont want to hack your DVD manually,you can try this one.

"Be able to play a DVD disk from China" does not mean it can play multi-region-code DVD , the reason is lots of DVDs we bought from China market are region 1 DVD (US and Canada)

I think you missed his point -> no chip to verify the region in this machine! no matter region 1 or 6.

Realy? but I don't think so. The region code is part of information with other data which is ciphered/coded according to the standard, then you have to decode the data( region code + others) while playing the movie.
BTW. there is NO any chip to VERIFY the regin code in any DVD palyer, butonly it is a part of decoding by applying the region code, some DVD, most of that made in USA, is preset to only one but others, maybe most of Made in China, can be 1-6.

区码不是加密系统。
DVD的光头很容易坏，一个机器也用不了几年，
不如去买一个回来试试。
我在wal-mart买的那个，才50，也不贵，
盒子上写的是Region 1,用隐含命令改为0，据说就支持多区了，
我只试过1，6的，mp3 和 vcd,
这个机器支持PAL,NTSC的电视，输出有YUV,S,RCA,
(YUV要设一下，default是S）
没有RF, 所以你的电视不能只有天线输入。
有5.1声音，我没试过。

谁试一下其他区的, 说说能不能用。

I tried to set region free for my DVD player...

It works for some disk which can not play previously. But for some disk bought from China, screen flicks when I play it. It looks like I used wrong TV format (I mean PAL or NTSC). But I actually tried both, it does not work.
My DVD player model: KOSS KD260
Anyone has idea?
