<HTML>Where can I get free French cousre? not in Quebec.
Thanks</HTML>

<HTML>if you are landed immigrant, you may qualify for LINC program. You can call 238-5462 for a free French assessment and they will register you to free French class. But if you are a student (suspect you are, from your nickname), you have to be on student authorization (case type 37 only) to qualify for LINC program.Otherwise, you will have to contact FSL (French as a second language) program at 731-7212 and they will tell you whether you qualify and how much you have to pay for their program.</HTML>

<HTML>There are classes offered by the Ontario Continuing Education Board in either full time day class or part-time night class ranging from the basics to more advanced level. $20 registration fee for a 4-month term, all included. 7 class locations across Ottawa. I took the course in my spare time just for fun and learned a good deal, so I would recommend it.

The number is 731-7212 as mentioned above (if I remember correctly), but I don't think there's any pre-requesits or qualifications. Most students are immigrants or second citizens, surprisingly though I was the only Chinese student, the absolute minority in class.

Have fun!</HTML>
