Although LGES sources raw materials from various global locations, it relies on China for refined materials, battery components, and increasingly for specific battery chemistries, such as Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), which Chinese companies predominantly produce. This reliance stems from China's concentrated control over significant portions of the global battery supply chain, from mining and refining to the production of cathodes, anodes, and finished cells.
