哈哈，终于有人比我的过份，稍解惭愧

查了一下煤气表，多收了我１８０个字，已更正。
还是你牛。

今天收到煤气账单，$340
结果是估的数，多要了俺们两百多个数的钱
也打电话更正去了:blink:

这还差不多。以前的太离谱了。

We should correct them!
Especially last month, becuase it is only 23.xx in Jan. and it was 3x.xx in Dec. I do now know how they calculate in this case.
Anyone knows ?

The actual cubic is more than your estimation. I believe it is because we use the furnace every night.

Yeah, we did call them to avoid rate difference charged on our consumption during last month. No idea what they are going to adjust it if they do that later------how could you prove that the difference happened in the previouse month not the month later if you did not call them? I guess they will use the rate of the month that they actually read the meter to adjust your comsumption then.

I received my gas bill last night, it was an estimated charge, no actual reading was scheduled. I'm going to check the actual reading today.

Worst thing is, we've already installed some of the energy-saving measures, things like lower the room temperature when we are not home, winter-proof almost all windows using a thin plastic film, and limit the use of fireplace to its absolute minimum...It's just not working.

我想是因为一月份比较冷吧. 我的温度调得比十二月份低, 可还是多用了不少. 在特别冷的那些天, 我的暖气设备就没怎么停过. 一直在那里隆隆的 运转. 我甚至担心它是不是坏了. 这些天启动的频率低多了.

你说的封窗户的那种东西英文叫什么? 贵不贵?

I don't know, I call that plastic wrap for windows. Just go to home depot, ask anyone they'll know. It's a big roll about 2m in height, about 20 dollars per roll. Actually Walmart is selling similar products in bags for much less, like 3 dollars.
