Literalist Chronology: Some literal interpretations calculate that Solomon's Temple was founded exactly 1,200 years after the birth of Abraham.

1. From Solomon to the Babylonian Exile (~420–430 Years)
Biblical records track this era through the reigns of the Kings of Judah, starting with the four-year mark of Solomon's reign when temple construction began.

• Solomon’s remaining reign: 36 years (he reigned 40 total).
• Divided Kingdom: Approximately 390 years of cumulative rule by the 19 kings and 1 queen of Judah who followed Solomon.
• Destruction of the Temple: Occurred around 586 BC when Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon besieged Jerusalem.

2. The Babylonian Exile to the Birth of Jesus (~580–600 Years)
This period covers the 70 years of captivity followed by the "Silent Years" where no new biblical books were written.

• The Babylonian Exile: Traditionally held to be 70 years (roughly 605 BC to 536 BC), as prophesied by Jeremiah.
• The Second Temple Period: Began when Cyrus the Great allowed the Jews to return and rebuild the temple, which was finished around 516 BC.
• The Gap to Jesus: Roughly 500 to 580 years elapsed between the return from exile and the birth of Christ (historically dated to approx. 4–6 BC).
