I have a frind who bought a house at that place. she does a real estate agency more than 20 years. so i bought it too.

查了网站，有人说在Findlay Creek 和 Leitrim 附近，原是个沼泽地。 政府花了8百万改建了。所以现在房产开发商在那建房。
说这沼气会从basement进入房子，对人体健康极有害。
是真的吗？
你朋友知道有关这些吗？我也想买那，可这东西把我吓死了。

好像有那么一回事，不过有点距离

The risk to public health is from the landfill about a kilometre west of Albion Rd. on land owned by Transport Canada. It is designated as "Class A: Sites deemed to have the potential to have an impact on human health" (State of the Environment Report, An Environmental Health Perspective, Ottawa-Carleton Health Department, Environmental Health Directorate, 1996). Two aquifers which run first under the landfill and later under the proposed development site are contaminated with hazardous chemicals.

好家伙 ，Toxic dump,还不是一般意义上说的land-fill---垃圾填埋场
这个问题吗:blink: 大家自己拿主意吧。
因为这是个市政供水的小区，不存在自家取用地下水的问题…其他的问题，俺也说不清了:blowzy: :zany:

今天在某shopping mall和一搞construction的老外聊天，
谈起那片，他说那地最致命的缺点是：应原是wetland，
ground太soft。据说Hunt Club某一小块地也是如此。
Builder后来不得不加固地下室。
