Don't mix up the ranking here with the empolyment rate. During the telecomm booming, maybe a college specifying in computer programming have more graduates finding employment than MIT or Harvard, then, will you get a conclusion that this college is better than Harvard or MIT. The ranking really tells you the innovations, the publications and other research products of a univ, not just the employments of a univ. China communication industry is booming in recent years due to the booming of Chinese economy and the communication booming in the wrold. 北邮 is a univ specifying in this area and therefore, its has more contribution to the booming. I have many 北邮 colleagues and they are good, I have to say. But it doesn't mean this rank is not fair. Just don't mix up this ranking with some recent industry booming.
