Canon 10D Profiler 16-bit (PC and Mac) Direct Download!


This package includes two (2) Photoshop actions and two (2) custom ICC profiles.

Actions included:

1) Canon 10D LPbatch 16-bit (Linear Pro Batch)

PC Users: There is a bug in the Canon File Viewer Utility (FVU), which is included with your Canon 10D SLR camera (v1.2.2). Because of that, FVU may not convert your RAW files to Linear properly. As a workaround, we developed a patch that makes FVU linear output work as designed. (More info included with the 10D Profiler package)


Mac Users: Canon File Viewer Utility for the Mac (Ver 1.2.1) may not convert your RAW files to Linear properly. Canon will probably release an update soon. If you don't want to wait for the update, you could use dcRAW-X to convert your 10D RAW files to 16-bit Linear.



2) Canon 10D Non-linear 16-bit
To be used with normal 10D files being JPEG straight from the camera or JPEG / TIF converted from RAW. (Works with all RAW conversion software)

Custom ICC profiles included: 10D Non-linear.icm and 10D Linear.icm

Canon 10D Profiler 16-bit Examples

The 10D LPbatch action does not use the usual Photoshop saturation features that have been known to shift colors and increase noise and artifacts in images. The new saturation increase technique used in this action is a unique concept. It works in 16-bit mode and there is NO color shifting or noise/artifact increase. The 16-bit sharpening algorithms are sophisticated and sharpen no only the edges of your subjects but the global image as well (without noise or artifact increase). This results in cleaner and more natural looking images.

Images converted using the 10D LPbatch have a higher dynamic range and higher color accuracy. Also images will have less sharpening artifacts and lower noise.
