OTTAWA, ON--Fortinet Technologies Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of ASIC-powered, network-based antivirus firewall systems for real-time network protection, is to significantly expand its Ottawa office and increase its workforce in Ottawa.
"Ottawa has everything that a fast-growing company looks for: Highly qualified high tech talent, affordable office space and proximity to many other high tech companies", says Michael Xie, CTO of Fortinet Technologies Inc. and president of Fortinet Technologies (Canada) Inc., who worked in Ottawa several years ago.
Fortinet's Ottawa office expanded from two employees early last year to 19 employees now.
"Our Ottawa office is planning to recruit 70-80 employees in the coming six months," says Xie. "The job openings cover software development, testing, customer support, product marketing, and technical documentation."
